The Local Action Group (O.T.D.) HOU Pelion Magnesia in Greece and O.T.D. Association Pays PERIGORD VERT Dordogne in France held a transnational cooperation entitled ‘Female Entrepreneurship Support ?? Promoting entrepreneurship of local products and the regions tourism product. »

This cooperation is implemented under Priority Axis 2 «support cooperation between rural areas», measure 2.2 «cooperation between regions of two or more states: transnational cooperation», the category of acts 2.2.1. «Partnerships in rural tourism ‘, the Community initiative LEADER +, the stated purpose of the cooperation:

1. Search local identity within the European mainstream
2. Development of sustainable links between the regions affected
3. Highlighting local skills, local agriculture, tourism and local cuisine,

with targets as follows:

A. Optimal use through common actions, particular our local products:

A1. Preparation of cross-actions aimed at commercialization of products,

A2. Study sales conditions origin under the agritourism.

A3. Consequence, the implementation of plans to create women’s initiatives, based on local origin.

B. Development of female solidarity for this purpose in each region, and between regions, with a focus on integrating rural women with difficult cases.

B1. Solidarity between women producers, metapoiitrion, restaurateurs, in each region, and between the two regions,

B2. Solidarity with women in difficult economic and social situation.

III. Joint development of teaching tools in the field of nutrition and gastronomy, starting from local origin:

C1. pedagogical nature products aimed at children and teachers,

C2. pedagogical nature products targeted at adults
In fact, the ultimate aim of this transnational cooperation must be to contribute to the development of a common European heritage, as a framework, highlighting local identity and character of the stakeholders, the development of knowledge between operators, communication, solidarity and exchanging experience between the two regions, and in the end create new markets for local products and rural tourism between the two regions.

PRODUCTS

The publication «Flavors Passion» prescription «Autumn-Winter» and «Spring – Summer»

The Greek-issue prescriptions is a cultural and educational product, resulting from the cooperation program, aimed at traditional healthy diet both regions.

Version Calendar

This calendar, with nice presentation, is a new product, dipped product value to the products, public awareness and communication program.The calendar was printed in two types – desk calendar and wall calendar.

For better communication and visibility of the Pelion region to transnational partners, became the print driver Pelion Mount resulting from the measure 03 Action 007 «Studies, surveys, recordings of the LAG LEADERII program. H LAGs in French and English .

teaching materials

Games by utilizing recipes using local produce and the importance of using local products and traditional recipes in our diet. Particularly to young children to form good eating habits is the target of action to implement the games that relate to the triptych Nutrition – Taste-Health, to check that good health is built with proper diet that does not lack culinary results.

These games will even be a product deriving from the use of local products. They have a direct interest in teaching, and commercial – if not directly – interest.

The Environmental Makrinitsa Center utilizes this material, knowing the students who visit the center, healthy traditional diet of Pelion.

EXCHANGES OF TRANSNATIONAL COOPERATION

FIRST JOURNEY OF THE EAP IN  PERIGORD VERT  (19-27 / 05/2006)

Under transnational cooperation of the Community Initiative  LEADER +, which implements the Pelion Development Company (HOU SA), a visiting mission twenty women representatives of women’s cooperatives of the Pelion region B. Sporades and Pteleos, representative of the Chamber of Magnesia, the Hotel Association of Magnesia and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture in Perigord Vert  of the  Dordogne in France from 21/05/2006 – 25/05/2006.

The mission was accompanied by the Director General of the EAP SA Mr. Dimitrios Tsopanoudis and external partner HOU SA for transnational cooperation Mr. Chrysa guts.

During the stay of the delegation in the Perigord Vert, made numerous visits to agrotourism establishments in the area and exhibition of products of women’s cooperatives in the Environmental Center of  Varaignes .

The mission departed Friday, May 19, 2006 and the return was on 28.05.2006.

FIRST JOURNEY OF THE LAG IN PELION PV (19-27 / 05/2006)

In this context, transnational cooperation of the Community Initiative  LEADER +, held visiting mission ten women representatives of women’s enterprises in the region  Perigord Vert , in Pelion from 15/09/2006 – 19/09/2006.

The mission was accompanied by Mr. Achille Tsoukas, the Prefecture Development Director of Dordogne, President of the Twinning of Varaignes Communities – Makrinitsa, Ms. Marie-Elisabeth Chassagne, Vice CPIE, responsible cooperation program and Ms. Valerie Valles, Coordinator LEADER + Perigord Program vert.

During the stay of the delegation of the Perigord Vert, made numerous visits to the women cooperatives in the region and in rural tourism enterprises – guesthouses.

Competition also took French and Greek Traditional food and fresh among members of women’s cooperatives and women of the French delegation to the Municipal Corporation Milies facilities at Kala Nera.

SECOND JOURNEY OF HOU IN PERIGORD VERT (10-22 / 07/2007)

During the implementation of Phase B took second trip to France (Action V2.5) with the participation of our region were: women’s cooperatives, the Hotel Association of Magnesia. The Chamber of Magnesia and the Center for Environmental Education Makrinitsa the period 10 – 22 July 2007.

The mission was accompanied by the President of CRD SA Mr. Vakoulas Stamatios, General Director of EAP SA Mr. Tsopanoudis Dimitrios and external partner HOU SA for transnational cooperation Mr. Chrysa guts.

During the stay of the delegation in the Perigord Vert, made numerous visits to agrotourism establishments in the area and organized traditional cooking event of women members of women’s cooperatives and display of products at the Environmental Center of  Varaignes .

SECOND JOURNEY OF LAG PV PELION (24-28 / 11/2007)

During the implementation of Phase B trip held by the LAG Perigord Vert in the Pelion region for the implementation of Action B2.1 «Women Working visit of PV in Pelion,» during the period 24-28 November 2007.

Since the delegation visited the Perigord Vert region 11 people, of whom 7 were women producers and entrepreneurs in the rural tourism sector, two were from the Environmental Centre Varaignes  and 2 were from the same development LAG.

Both in terms of visits made in agritourism businesses, and the hospitality provided by the Pelion Development Company, transnational partners gained the best impression and enjoyed their participation in the preparation of traditional dishes made to women cooperatives Pteleos, Portaria, Zagora and minors.
